On this private tour we will pick up you at your hotel and transport you to Douro Marina where you can get the opportunity to enjoy a
great private tour by boat on Douro river, from Afurada Marina until to the Freixo palace during 1 hour and 30 minutes. During this period of time, taste a glass of Porto wine. Then will give you a panoramic view about Porto city , such as Avenue of Boavista, City Park, Beach of Matosinhos, Foz and other places. Then we will go until to Santa Catarina street where you can find several street singers, playing several instruments, and where you can appreciate the different stores and shops of this main street. Here, you can visit the Souls chapel with its 16 000 tiles related with the life of St Francisco and St Catarina, the Art Nouveau of Perola do Bolhão and Majestic Cafe (one of the most emblemathic cafes of the world). We also can visit the pasteis de Nata producers where you can learn more about this Portuguese traditional cake, and then we will visit the Coliseu, before we go to Batalha square where you can see the Theatre of São João, the famous Gazela restaurant, the statue of D. Pedro V and St Ildefonso church.
We will go from Batalha to Aliados square by 31 st of december street. Here you can take a great photo of Clerigos tower. Then we go to St Bento station where you can appreciate the tiles from Jorge Colaço and the Beaux Arts building from Marques da Silva. The Cathedral is near of the station, and before we go there we first need to know others several places, such as Lello Bookstore, Carmo and Carmelitas church, and the old prison (the current photography museum). Here you will have the opportunity to know about the history of Camilo and Ana Placido. We will pass on several pictoresques streets such as Taipas and Belmonte street until to the Ferreira Borges market and Bolsa Palace. Then if you want you can visit the St Francisco church, and the house of the navigator D. Henrique near of the riverside.
