This amazing adventure will start at Praça do Comercio in Baixa-Chiado for you to have an introduction to our Portuguese History and some secret stories as well. After i will take you to my neighborhood Alfama with more than 2000 years of history with narrow streets with people doing barbecues and kid still playing football and unique architecture with an amazing Moorish and Jewish heritage.
It’s literally a village on the inside of Lisbon and you will feel that vibe, considered the heart of Fado music in Portugal with Taverns everywhere where you can listen to music and drink like a local, I will take you to one for you to taste our most famous liquor Ginjinha to give enough fuel to go uphill!:)
Being on the top you will be amazed by our stunning viewpoints like Portas do Sol or Sta. Luzia. Moving after into the direction of Mouraria we will stop on the Castel neighborhood for you to relax and restore your energy with the best Custard tart in Lisbon 2019 at Santo Antonio Bakery.
After we will pass by one of my favorite views at Chão do Loureiro Viewpoint and finishing our walk exploring the streets of Mouraria with the roots of Fado Music, alternative restaurants, and bars. All of my secrets places in this area will be revealed to you for you to enjoy Lisbon like a local. If this is something that you are looking for don’t think twice! Let’s go!
I can say that I’m going to show you my home because I live in the Alfama area :).
We will visit Baixa Chiado, Alfama and Mouraria, in this area we have the old Arabic fence and baths to find, Roman ruins, Fado roots, typical taverns, Fado Houses, traditional shops, amazing viewpoints and much more!
Meeting location: We will meet at Praça do Comércio near to the statue in the middle.
Pick-up and Drop-off: not included
End location: We will finish in the history area in time to give you a fantastic place to have your lunch.
Availability: 10 am to 13:00 pm or from 2.30 pm to 5:30 pm. Monday to Saturday. Call us or send us an email after the booking to confirm the time to start.
Transportation: This will be a walking tour, this adventure is placed on the main historical area.
Entrance fees to monuments/attractions if you decide to visit during the tour. Be prepared with comfortable clothes and shoes, and of course good vibes and mood =).
