About
Why choose just one thing when you can have everything? On this tour, the “Sardinha” is yours. You have 6 hours to set out to discover Lisbon, without limits! In between, you can (and should) ask your guide to catch your breath and take a break for lunch.
If they don't have the coordinates of the adventure, we give them a suggestion. Combine, for example, the center of Lisbon, including the most modern areas, with the historic neighborhood of Belém.
We will give all the explanations and, among many things, we will talk about the earthquake of 1755 and how this tragedy created a new city in the 18th century, symbolized in Baixa Pombalina.
We will visit all the most emblematic viewpoints and spots in the center of Lisbon, from Alfama to Mouraria, in the old city, on the highest hill in the city, to the chic and busy area of Chiado and the bohemian Bairro Alto, the result of the growth of the metropolis after the golden era of Discovery.
And speaking of Discoveries, the “Sardinha” also sails to Belém, from where Vasco da Gama set out to discover the maritime route to India. Discover your inner explorers and learn how many of the great Portuguese navigators took to the sea, transforming Portugal into the first global empire.
Hitchhike the “Sardinha”, visit the Jeronimos Monastery, the Belém Tower and the Pattern of Discoveries. Delight yourself with a Belém Pastel from its original factory, founded in 1837. We don't know the recipe for the famous cakes created by the monks, but we have a secret of our own: they won't have to wait in the long lines to try them.
