About
On this tour, the Sardine is dressed up to visit Sintra — a unique place in the world, the first “Cultural Landscape” to be registered as a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site.

In ancient times, Sintra was known as the “Serra da Lua”, a place of prehistoric cults and rituals. In the 19th century, it became the ultimate exponent of the romantic ideal, embodied in the stunning Pena National Palace.
King D. Fernando II was able to transform the ruins of a monastery into a castle, where the new sensibility was expressed through the use of Gothic, Egyptian, Islamic and Renaissance elements, and the creation of a natural park that combines local and exotic essences.
Visit the Historic Village of Sintra, where you can taste the region's famous pastries: pillows
and cheese.
After Sintra, we head to Cabo da Roca — the westernmost point of the European continent — where you can be surprised by fantastic photographs of fabulous views, where “the land ends and the sea begins”.
We continue paddling along the coast, past the wonderful Guincho Beach, a paradise for surfers, to Cascais — admire the charm of this former royal summer village and enjoy a walking tour of the bay or the city's elegant cafés.
Upon returning to Lisbon, the Sardine also passes through Estoril, where Ian Fleming was inspired during World War II to create the character 007 James Bond, the most famous spy in the world.
If the tour is canceled due to not having the minimum number of participants, we will offer an alternative date/experience or a full refund.
