• Leaving Funchal Marina at 09h00, we travel all along the south-west coast up to Ponta do Pargo. During this cruise, we can observe the coast with its magnificent views of the different landscape and villages.
• The First thing you will notice as you cruise along the southwest coast, are the complex patchwork of terraces covering the island hillsides, these giant steps testify to the industriousness of the local farmers, who have spent millions of working hours converting the island steep and unpromising slopes into arable plots of land. The caves caused by sea erosion and terraces were formed along the coastline.
• The guide will give you some brief explanation and be available for questions. So that you can understand a bit more about the southwest coast and its secrets,
• Before we head home we will make an elongated stop where you can observe the seabed by snorkeling, try out stand up paddle and even paddle in a kayak. Lunch is then served on board as a buffet including meat and fish and drinks, after lunch we continue our homeward journey with at least one more stop along the south coast.
